The abandonment of Grii’atriu and the Trifold City: Zuli’Derem’Uuleio

We have been approached by our neighbor Zupa! What a great idea they had. And the good people of Ornbar are interested, too!

Us islanders will have a trifold city to strengthen our bonds and make us stronger together. We think this is a very worthy endeavor and, after asking our people, the inhabitants of Gri-Atriiu were the ones who were most willing to relocate. While we do not abandon our livestock of goats, the once city will now be nothing more than a village.

The new city will be called Zuli’Derem’Uuleio!

  • Zuli comes from the Zupa language and means “city of”
  • Dere(m) comes from our language and means “world’s”
  • Ululeio comes from the Ornbar language and means “passion and fortune”.

What a glorious day! We cannot wait to announce this to the world! We are so grateful to have such good neighbors.

Our artists are now working on a possible flag for the trifold city!

Blessings upon all of us!!

Event “City of the World’s Desire”

Zuli’Derem’Uuleio, a grand city inhabited by the people of Palanteinc, Zupa and Ornbar has entered a miniature Golden Age. Architects, masons and carpenters have been hard at work to make this semi-autonomous settlement into a true masterpiece.

Effect: Massive developments are taking place in Zuli’Derem’Uuleio (provinces 875/874/873).

A new Flag

Glory to the Cult of the Great Zupa the Navigator, Sultan of the Six Islands, the Pelagic Prince, Son of the Seas, Tamer of the wooden beasts, Lord of the Tropic Sands, the Maritime Messiah, Czar of the Moon Sky, Consort of the Three Mountain Goddesses, Cultivator of the Blue Soil and Emir of the Archipelago! Glory to the Ornbari! And glory to the Commonality of Palanteinc!

This day we celebrate the founding of three cities as one: “Zuli’Derem’Uuleio”.

Zuli’Derem’Uuleio, like the city, is made up of words coming from the three founding countries. It means “City of World’s Desire”.

May this day be marked, remembered and celebrated annually. Truly, on this day, the three nations come closer together.

Behold – the city’s flag.

Our blessings upon Empress Shae

Hirisu/Insirka Empire:

“With time comes experience” Is the headline of a notification, written on a wooden board in the middle of the Imperial Capital.
Shae, the Empress of Creation, will turn 70 years old shortly. In Honor of this unprecedented age, a party shall be held. Nations that the imperium had long contact with were invited, under those are the Vracronicans, the Palanteinc, the Moans, the Republic of agade, the City states of Eklomesia and the hulu kingdom.
With the Fadia clan of the Palanteinc having a specific invitation. Many of those close to the Empress have left their normal duties to visit. The Imperial Armada that is in charge of Homeland protection will raise bright green flags during the time of the party.

Our people are ecstatic to hear that they have been invited! Already our artists are struggling to find the best present. The Fadia Clan has the last say in it, though.
So far the best idea came from a seamstress. She wishes to gift upon the empress a cloak made out of the finest silks they could buy! Her husband would provide the most vibrant gemstones that would make the cloak sparkle in vibrant green.

Hirisu/Insirka Empire:

It’s is a cheerfull day, Ceratesk is currently packing some stuff together for travel. He and his family were of course invited to the Birthday party of the Empress. He is in no haste since they have to wait for their eldest son, who is currently on his way back from peace negotiatons. As the sun is now fully set, a group of man arrive. They are Imperial honor guards, who left most of their heavy equipment behind as to not seem threatening to the Palanteinc. It’s an old man and a group of young men.

“Kreshti, i havent seen you since the Drills.”

Ceratesk walks over to the old man, they exchanga a small hug

“The Empress wanted to send more, but in the end she did not have any men to spare. So she asked me to pick you up”

They talk for what seems like an eternity before he is confronted by his wife. “Do you really need all of this… A Blue rose, why a blue rose and where did you get that…”

The Old man laughs and some more friendly banter is exchanged.

The Conversations ended and the tone became a bit more serious. The Old man explains the travel route. “This entire peace conference put a danger up in the sky, it is more likely than usual that the Snake Tongued Cultists operate in this area. So we switched up the route a bit. Sadly Boat is to dangerous. We can not send military ships to secure the area because of the peace negotations, so we will rely on the old ways. We move directly south. Some more forces will meet us on the Southern Border of Palanteinc, from there we will just use the Harbor of Democrazia, where the Ship of the Empress, the “Concordia” is waiting for us.”

As they continue talking, some of Ceratesks old friends come over, they are accompanying him on this travel. The rest of the Fadia clan has also been invited but it is unclear how many will come since, they have dutys here in Palanteinc. Even Ceratesk will not be able to stay as long as he would wish.

Commonality of Palanteinc:

Our people are ecstatic to hear that they have been invited!

A representative Tribunal is sent to attend the birthday celebrations of the Empress.

This was the first election in years that had seen record numbers – over 250 applicants.

As it stands, a Fadia, an Ammon and a Deincat shall attend. (Fitting, most Palanteinc would agree) Additionally, over 500 Palanteinc citizens will leave their work be for the duration of the festivities and accompany the nupa.

Immediately after hearing the news, our artists were struggling to find the best present. So far the best idea came from a seamstress. The idea was presented and approved.

Our gift upon the empress is a cloak made out of the finest silks we could buy! The cloak is adorned with the most vibrant gemstones that would make the it sparkle (in the right light).

The cloak (stola?) is made to resemble the shape of a butterfly, once the arms are stretched out, and features the telltale long wings at the bottom, dragging behind.

Additionally, the Palanteinc come bearing 200 crowns worth of jewelry.

——

Hirisu: The Talidin Family has finally reached Imperitas, together with some other Representatives from Palanteinc. Wooden crates are transported onto the Concordia as soon as everyone has left the ship, the sails are raised and the Youngest daughter of ceratesk looks towards horizon where the ship slowly disappears. As they walk thorugh the outer gates, they are greeted by a Imperial Heavy Guard. Ceratesk is invited to take part in a early meeting.  He leaves to attend the meeting and a man dressed in fancy clothing starts giving the larger Palanteinc group a tour through the City, throughout the day more scholars and representitives from other nations join them. “My Name is Moratas Arkanus, i will be your guide during your stay. So if you need anything, just ask me and i will make it happen.”

The Streets are filled with people, children are playing and many people are seeling things right on the main roads. Prominent Merchants from all over the know world have gathered, many learned the value of this city through the blockade. Since every merchant ships that wants to save some time has to stop in Arsturia. Different things are sold, from fancy tools, Clothing, Hathril sheets with different inscribing, from maps to storys, even legends are written down.

Regular Guard patrols walk through the city, engaging with the civilians and guests, the group sees a young soldier help an old woman with setting up her stall. The group gets to the first point of interest. “This is the Imperial Library. We were impressed by your way of teaching and preserving knowladge, so we decided we would need something similar. Allthough we currently do not have the capacities for “Schools” as you call them.” The Building is obviously still under construction with a lot more space open than in the rest of the city. Probably for further expansion. They enter the building, they see a woman sitting at a desk, she is wearing simple dark clothing and gives a quick bow towards the  guard.

The Second location is the Trade port of Imperitas, it was one of the largest projects that the Imperium has ever worked on, there is an entire trade district specificly for traders staying at the port. They walk through a street full of shops that present things from all over the world, some of the most prominent shops are “The Lizards tail” a shop that sells things from the the Ornbar, “Crescent kob” A shop that is more broad than the others, but sells things from all over the crescent isle and the closer islands, like the Zupan Isles and finally the “Golden Line” wich trades things from the western regions. The fact that many trade ships have to stop in Imperitas to be able to go through Urs gate, makes it a prime spot for trading.

They come to a larger opening where they can smell the fresh sea air again. The Concordia let them out at the Military port that Imperitas and Arsturia share. The Trade port is giant in comparrison, even though the military port is a joint effort. The Port is full of impressive trade ships, with constructions varying heavily since ships from many nations are present. They make a quick stop at the “Horizons wish” a Ship that makes a daily commute between the territories of the Palanteinc and Imperitas, offering the transport of everything. you can even go on board to get a ride… as long as you have the money. The group keeps wandering along the coast line and a ship comes in. It waves a unknown flag. “Many ships hold here and they come from all over the world. There is a reason why we also call this the “Gate to the World”. The Port was build with our moral foundation as a basis. “Everyone is welcome”… well as long as they don’t bring soldiers hahahaha” The man laughs out about his own joke. Some keen eyed people notice that he brought the joke while looking at a ship that follows the Moan style of ship construction.

They walk around the citys walls, heading north-west for the next stop of their tour.

(( The Palanteinc are a little weary. ))

The Splintering of Ornbar

Horrible news have reached our ears. The tribunal is very worried. The Theocracy of Ornbar is not doing well. What sounded first like only some disgruntled factions is now becoming an uprising. We care deeply for our oldest neighbor and wish them well. We hope they can find a way to reunite.

Great Families of Ornbar:

The Great Families denounce the so-called republic in Ornsandfor the banishment of the local great families!

Due to this conflict shipments of Hathril will slow greatly causing a large shortage of Hathril.

A newcomer in the Nupa

For the first time ever, a person not born in Palanteinc holds a seat in the Nupa. May his wisdom shine and lead our people into a Good future.

Dehe!Today Fadia Talidin Ceratesk takes the seat of the hunter/soldier amongst his brothers and sister in the Nupa.

A change in government? Part 2

Talks within a nupa:

“Another proclamation of force. Another one taking sides.”

“There are many sides… Too many.”

“Do all of their people really want to fight? I mean really?”

“I think they want to fight. Yes. They seek honor. Redemption. Making an example.”

“I don’t understand… they will die. They will kill. Are they not aware?”

“They all have little regard for anyone but their own people.”

“We know that, aside from a select few, we don’t want a war.”

“Not a war. A fight maybe. But not a war.”

“We are ready to defend.”

“If we must. If we absolutely must.”

—-

As more and more diplomats return home, proudly presenting unique gifts, small and large, from far away lands – it is the first time in a long time that the Palanteinc seem to become divided.

A low burning envy seems to have taken root in those clans that no longer wished to throw in their name.  Meanwhile the clans that have repeatedly invested in their children to become aspiring diplomats and rulers scoff at the notion that they had not earned these gifts.

Luckily, the current ruling clans have taken notice and are conversing what to do. They plan to reestablish at least a sense of equilibrium of the Palanteinc People.

—-

“We can sense a change. Our people are longing.”

“They are no longer content – even though they lack nothing.”

“Fools! Do you not see what has changed? You speak of us – “our people, they” – as if we are not one and the same. Clearly there is a divide.”

“Who is to blame if so many of us no longer think themselves fit to rule?”

“The times are changing.”

“We are facing two problems: 1) Our people long for something they themselves cannot articulate. 2) There is a growing divide between those who rule and those that will never rule.”

“We cannot all become rulers in our lifetime. We have become too large a people.”

“So we must embrace the second problem. If we have reached a point where not everyone *could* rule, then our system must change.”

“You want us to overrule the will of the gods?”

“The gods could still choose but… the choices would simply be… smaller.”

The room is silent for a bit.

“And how will we tell the people?”

“We won’t. Nothing has changed. We will simply embrace the status quo.”

“We cannot abandon our people.”

“We do not abandon them. We care for them, daily. Our decisions are still made in the best interest of everyone.”

“Then we must have it written. Set it in stone. Just like our civil laws.”

“Yes. Yes we will.”

“And what about the first problem that you spoke of?”

——-

Palanteinc silently switches from True Cleromancy to Selective Cleromancy. This is not broadcasted to the masses.

Upon hitting the next era, the larger clans will seek to adopt the most promising  individuals to strengthen their clans. An oath is now sworn by the leaders upon entering office and this oath will also be displayed above the entrance to the Meeting Hall.

Updated Identity

The Palanteinc long for a new symbol to put on their flag. A national animal that represents our core ideals.

  • The lap pig was almost unanimously agreed upon.
  • Additionally we will represent our four cities with a “triforce”.

The hexagonal as the original meeting stone will remain in the center.

In order to find another, common unifier amongst their people, the Palanteinc have decided to change their flag. It now bears the three dots, representing the Nupa, many meeting stones around the border and, of course, the strongest unifier of them all: the lap-pig.

“On this day we gather under a symbol we have all come to know and love. May we, too, be blessed to become just like our trusted companion. May we find the same peace and contentment we see in it everyday. Let it be a sign to our neighbors that they may judge our actions accordingly – that we come as friends and allies and seek not to do harm.”

—–

Given its symbolic status as a unifier for the Palanteinc, the lap-pigs have been decreed as companions, not livestock.

While consumption of their meat is not outright forbidden by this decree, it is highly discouraged and any Palanteinc would only do so in the most dire circumstances.

—–

This concludes the “A change in government” event for now.

Auld Lang Syne

THE VOLCANO STIRS, OUR SCHOLARS ARE ACCUSTOMED TO IT, AND THEY ARE SURE IT ISN’T AN ERUPTION… NO… IT IS A WARNING…

SOMETHING THAT SHALL CHANGE THE WEAVE OF FATE IS ABOUT TO OCCUR, THE MOUNTAIN GODESSES SEE ALL…

WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY

A great festival is being held at the newly built city Zuli’Derem’Uuleio to celebrate both the city’s founding and Zupa’s birthday. Zupa has attended the festival along with his personal guard of the Inkarsk War veterans. Many peoples from all over the globe consisting of traders, artisans and humble farmers have come to join the celebrations.

The warnings of the Mountain Goddesses linger in the mind of Zupa, yet surely nothing could ruin such a glorious event. He looks over his people, along with his new allies. The beauty and happiness emanating from the crowd give Zupa a chance to reflect, he thinks to himself; is war really all there is to this world? Perhaps us Möans should have a new outlook in life, one of peace and cooperation. After all, cooperation is what brought us this beautiful city.

One of Zupa’s most trusted advisors, and well learned scholars approaches him;

“O’ glorious Zupa, the winds change, the smoke of the Mountain Goddesses’ dwelling shifts, they are warning us that something is to come”

“SHUT UP YOU OLD FOOL, ENJOY THE FESTIVITIES”

Zupa reaches for his chalice, yet the feel of cold metal deep in his chest froze him in his seat… his wine, now filled with his own coughed up blood…

—-

The Moan leader ZUPA was asssassinated by an Insirka seperatist – or so we presume. This has thrown the Moan people into dissaray and despair.

The Palanteinc are ready to help their brothers.

The Palanteinc long for justice, too. Such a heinous act must be punished. We do not, of course, impose our own system of punishment.

The good Moan people are now scattered and scared. However, sending too many soldiers might resemble an occupation force rather than a people who wish to come to aid. Please be cautious in your dealings on the islands.

To conserve resources and continue to be able to support the Moan people, the Commonality of Palanteinc has decided to focus less on soldiers and more on farmers. Officials are sent out to their cities to oversee the transformation.

News from their neighbors struggling bring the Palanteinc closer together.

A tremendous, nationwide effort is undertaken to secure the safety of the Moan people. Ships filled with supplies and workers leave the nation and set sail for Moan cities.

In an unprecedented effort of the nation, the Palanteinc manage to send 200 crowns to the Moans to help mitigate the effect of the assassination.

New friends

In rapid succession, the Commonality of Palanteinc has first signed a simultaneous  Declaration of Amity and Kinship with the Insirka and ZUPA…

Declaration of Amity and Kinship

with both the Insirka Empire and the Cult of the Great Zupa the Navigator, Sultan of the Six Islands, the Pelagic Prince, Son of the Seas, Tamer of the wooden beasts, Lord of the Tropic Sands, the Maritime Messiah, Czar of the Moon Sky, Consort of the Three Mountain Goddesses, Cultivator of the Blue Soil and Emir of the Archipelago.

We, the People of Palanteinc, hereby let it be known, that both these good people we will treat as if they were our own.

If there is hunger in their house, we will send food.

If they are sick, we will seek to cure them.

If they wish to travel our lands and visit our homes, they are free to do so, as family does.

Their home is our home.

Upon our new siblings, we wish them a happy and prosperous future.

With our siblings, we will share our good fortune and our knowledge.

Let it be known, on this day, our family has grown.

Additionally, we make it known that, if our siblings chose to fight against each other, we shall not pick sides.

– signed by each known clan eldest of the People of Palanteinc (so about 50-60)

And shortly after the assassination of ZUPA, a similar declaration with the Hulu Kingdom – now Merania Kingdom.

Declaration of Amity and Kinship with the Kingdom of Merania.

We, the People of Palanteinc, hereby let it be known, that these good people we will treat as if they were our own.

Additionally, we make it known that, if our siblings chose to fight against each other, we shall not pick sides.*

– signed by each known clan eldest of the People of Palanteinc (so about 50-60)

*(please never forget this again, so we avoid future tensions, we’d hate to see treaties getting broken lol) lmao

Nef’Sheherezed – The favorite son of the Sun

Rumor has it that the people in Palanteinc started asking a golden child to tell them their future. So far their tellings have come true.

Very foreign Goods

“Friends! We have good news!

The good people from the Rexatrium League will come visit us in Zuli’Derem’Uuleio! They wish to trade with the Palanteinc!

We will make sure to redistribute the goods amongst our friends – especially the Ornbari and the Moans in Zuli’Derem’Uuleio of course. We shall oversee that the goods are distributed evenly between the three of us!

Let us grow together! Glory to the Zartessians and glory to all!”

The Rexatrium League of the far West wishes to trade with us, exclusively, in Zuli’Derem’Uuleio. Of course we will make sure our friends of the Tri-City are not forgotten. As such, we will distribute the goods freely between the three of us.

Additionally, the Palanteinc will trade lap-pigs with the good people of the west.

Middle iron era

New Gods for a new Era

On this day the Palanteinc celebrate the unveiling of three deities!

We welcome and celebrate the God of Diplomacy, the God of Trade and Good Fortune and the God of Sight who manifests in Nef’Sheherezed and all Nef’Sheherezeds forthwith.
Nef’Sheherezed himself said: “As we are but a manifestation of the divine we will never demand sacrifices. Sacrifices will be held at the local temples – now and always.”

Walking the road together

As the Palanteinc have many strong, healthy hands to spare, we have come to an agreement with the good Meranian Kingdom. A reasonable number of workers have been tasked to build an extensive road network throughout their kingdom. This task will take them away from home, gone for months and years even. While the building material will be supplied by the Meranians, we will build the roads for them.

It was agreed that, once the roads are finished, the Palanteinc may even settle in the Meranian kingdom as free men and women! What a wonderful day!

No fanfares

What should have been a glorious and cheerful start for the Palanteinc workers is overshadowed by the happenings in Tesic’mo Ceinc. Many had family there and are torn between keeping their promise and going home to help rebuild.

The foreman urges them to stay and work, assuring them that the Nupa will take care of things.

They agree. But no song is sung as the first few stones are laid down on the foreign road.

Crossfire of Tesic’mo Ceinc

While the Palanteinc knew of the mercenary army marching through their lands, they did not know about Ornbar forces coming from the North.

The battle was held in Tesic’mo Ceinc, our gate to the West.
Many were injured, many lost their lives – innocent Palanteinc citizen! Good men and women dead on the streets! Our second largest city lay half in ruin.

While some of the strong Qir helped restore order, it was the Fadia who helped the injured – yes, all injured, and nursed them back to health. The foreigners who survived were taken prisoner and must now help rebuilding what they have destroyed.

“The Palanteinc people witnessing the death and destruction inside Tesic’mo Ceinc are fleeing the battlefield. Shaken and filled with despair most flee to Palanteinc while only a few, more dedicated to their hometown stay and try to rebuild after the attack.

They make sure the dead are carried away and burned.

The outcry is heard in every city. The people demand the nupas to decide. It is the Nupa in Palanteinc that answers.

“It is the saddest day for our people. Our neighbours, proud and strong, bring their wars into our homes. From this day forward  armed forces may no longer pass through Palanteinc territory. We demand immediate withdrawal from our lands – or face the consequences!”

The officials, diplomats and traders, have been protected and helped escape to Palanteinc also.”

The Moäns answered:

“Funny how it was the barbarians, under the leadership of the inirskans, that brought war and death to such peaceful lands. Despite our warnings the palanteinc still hoped there could be peace with the new nation.

We shall send aid of 30 crowns to the palanteinc, as well as a much larger sum when our conflict is over to help those caught up in our conflicts despite our previous disagreements. For we hate to see such injustice inflicted upon those who only want peace.”

We thanked them for their generous offer and gladly accepted the help of a friend.

The Insirka answered:

“We will send workers and equipment as soon as Insirka stabilizes. We Apologize for the Situation, but we want to make it clear that we never planned to turn a Palanteinc city into a place of war. These Man were just travelling by and if they were not in such a hurry, they would have stayed to help you rebuild. (A letter by a unknown name, but the letter holds the Imperial Crest)”

The war close to home seems to radicalize the Palanteinc. Some demand to pick up weapons to defend themselves, others want nothing but for the war to stop. Others call for closer ties with the  Ornbar and the Xupans, others long to strengthen the ties to the Insirka.  A growing fraction of our people long to cut ties with everyone…

Outcome

No more foreign armies were treading our roads shortly after. We are pleased to hear this.

The quiet of the Ornbar during these quiet times saddens us – as does the lack of response from Agade. We thought we had become closer friends, but maybe to them, one small Palanteinc settlement is not important enough? We understand. Maybe they have been busy. And yet…

The Oracle leaves Palanteinc

Nef’Sheherezed, after many years, has finally had a vision regarding himself.

He was last seen traveling with only three bodyguards, to the West, before taking a boat.

“The Palanteinc people are ecstatic to finally be allowed to celebrate! After all the hardship of the last months, not only is Tesic’mo Ceinc largely rebuilt and the prisoners of war are sent back to their home countries, the oracle Nef’Sheherezed has sent word that his quest was a success.

In the month of stio-stui (december) – with the coming of the wet season – as is custom, we proudly proclaim every new marriage in our Commonality. This year, finally, Nef’Sheherezed will be married – and to none other than the strong and just Aphrosod of Riveria! The gods willed it and thus it shall happen!

What wonderful news for our weary people! The newlyweds will marry in Merania according to Meranian and Riverian tradition and will join us, later, for a brief time in Palanteinc. Though Nef’Sheherezed’s absence pains us, we look forward to his and his husband’s visits!

To celebrate in Merania and Riveria, a thousand Palanteinc will travel to the capital of the Meranian kingdom and we will bring many riches and presents with us to our close friends – nay, to our new family members, before we travel to Riveria then back to Palanteinc.

Glory to Riveria! Glory to Merania! Glory to Palanteinc!”

The Dragon and the Lizard

Why do the Jhadeese feel the need to insert themselves into Ornbar’s politics? Have they called upon your aid, oh mighty Jhadeese?

We humbly urge the Jhadeese to reconsider their involvement in the Ornbar inner conflicts. Surely, in their infinite wisdom they will see that, sometimes, children have to fight amongst themselves to learn and grow. No good can come from foreign involvement at this point.

But the dragon would not relent… So we answered:

The Ornbar may struggle – but these struggles are their own. Leave and no harm will come to your men!

We will accept a simple retreat. We demand no apology. We wish we could put all of this behind us…

But again – threaten the Ornbar and you threaten us!

Alas, we must speak a language that you understand: Stay out of Ornbar!

Leave Ornbar or we will renounce our vassalage and join forces to keep you out. The Ornbar are our oldest brethren. An attack against them is an attack against us.

Jhadeese:

Is this treason? Treason and threats will not be tolerated, you are to apologize and stand down.
These “island deities” hold an evil grasp over the islanders, their threats will only be taken as a challenge, a challenge we will accept.

Palanteinc:

We asked nicely not to attack our family and you said no.

You call us evil! You call the justified outrage of a people a challenge? You show your true colors!
We curse the Jhadeese Empire!

A speech by the nupas:

“It is with a heavy heart that we must now see there are no true friends to be found outside Palanteinc. Our brothers to the north and our extended family to the west make claims without us. – Even though we now rebel for their cause.

Our kindness and trust is abused and misunderstood. When we offer a hand, people accuse us of not offering an arm. The Insirkans have long enough played us for fools!

The gods were wise to guide Nef’Sheherezed away from them all. As it stands we now only have a small family left.

Furthermore: turn away the strangers. Speak to no foreigner.

For now: only be kind to the Meranians and Riverians.

Our trade deals will be thought upon once more. Little of what others offer we can not make ourselves.

We will fight for our survival. And we will fight for our freedom. Much will be asked of us – each and everyone – in the coming days. We urge you not to bow. They will come to kill and enslave our people. Pillage our lands and take our food.

Hide your smiles and sing no songs! Dark days are ahead. Take up arms and defend your family!”

To our surprise, many seemed to take heart in our own outcries. Many more then renounced their vassalage, such as the Vracionians:

In response to the unjustified aggression and subjugation attempts of eastern islanders, we no longer recognize the Jhed Authority over the ISV, and will therefore cease all tribute requests.

We also call upon all vassals of the Jheds to do the same or face serious diplomatic consequences.

The Moäns also answered:

The Möa people will not stand for the subjugation of their kin. We follow our allies in halting ALL tribute payments until they are gone

At long last, the Jhadeese meddlers have left our lands. This has been foretold. May our communities and kingdoms prosper. Thus ends the chapter of the Jhadeese in our lands. We hope they live a long and peaceful life – somewhere else.

A War between the Ornbar and Merania?

Merania:

Years ago, we suffered one of the bloodiest and most cruel civil war, some fanatic extreme people took control of Vallatoss with the help of Ornbari leaders, that turned out to be a war.

The Ornbari families didn’t just instigate the civil war but they also joined forces against us, killing our peasants, hanging our priests, pillaging our villages and destroying our infrastructure, when we had done nothing to them but consider them good neighbors and potential allies. For all their crimes against us we seek retribution and war reparations that are long overdue.

We hereby declare the western Ornbari lands ours. (885, 876, 877, 878)

The Great Families answered:

Though we are loath to aid our sworn enemies, We will defend Ornbar from all foreign aggressors, and to further ensure Ornbari safety against Meranian aggression we shall remove their ability to make ships.

We hereby declare the Meranian coastal lands ours. (61, 60, 30, 29)

Palanteinc:

The Palanteinc urge the Ornbar and the people of Merania to not seek war. We have just narrowly escaped the Great Threat of the North! Please! Reconsider your actions. Surely you can come to a more peaceful solution?

We know that Nef’Sheherezed urged the Meranians and Riverians not to go to war, but in the end, it was unnecessary. It seems that a truce was written:

-A truce has been written-

Between @Great Families of Ornbar @The TwintailRepublic @ExplodePlays™ Placentian Empire

– We will hand over 885 to Merania

– We will pay 150 crowns to Merania for 10 turns

– There is a truce for the duration of the payments

The Great Families fully admit to arming the Zarrean dissidents with weapons, supplies, information, and military advice.

This is a payment of reparations for all damages caused by our intervention in the civil war (We will not pay any further reparations for that conflict)

We are overjoyed to hear a peaceful solution could be achieved!

Palanteinc:

Knowing that their oldest neighbor will face challenging times, the Palanteinc make sure to help them pay the high reparations they have to make to Merania. Many people -especially from the cities further north and the Tri-City – make sure to send supplies and crowns north.

The fated duel

Moäns:

The Meranian Region in the Empire have sent their Lord Paramount, Lord Jan Zamoyski to be their champion,

a veteran of war, was a soldier in the battles of near Mt, Zar, has Lead the siege of Vallatoss as King, fought with Giants when he became Lord Paramount of Merania and Emperor of Placentia, and came out alive and intact

Ornbar:

House Skymount of the Great Families send Ornvi Kaish Fireriver victor of the great duel, the champion who’s duels allowed House Skymount to claim the iron rich extinct volcano in the northern section of Ornbar and succeed in numerous duels for the honor of Hiiash Skymount allowing the young lordling to rise above his kin and take control of House Skymount.

The Meranian Region in the Placentian Empire have sent their Lord Paramount, Lord Jan Zamoyski to be their champion, a veteran of war, who was a soldier in the battles near Mt. Zar, has led the siege of Vallatoss as King, fought with Giants when he became Lord Paramount of Merania and Emperor of Placentia, and came out alive and intact. He wears a chestplate made of gold and iron, with a golden hoplite helmet worn on his head, with meranian greaves (roman equivalent) protecting his legs. In his right hand, he wields a gladius with a handle made of gold and diamond, and in his left hand he has a scutum, which is a rectangular and curved wooden shield with a fortified lower line, to bash the heads of fallen enemies, as for his secondary weapon he carries in his back an iron spear used to pierce through enemy shield formations.

House Skymount of the Great Families of Ornbar send Ornvi Kaish Fireriver, victor of the great duel, the champion who’s duels allowed House Skymount to claim the iron rich extinct volcano in the northern section of Ornbar, and succeed in numerous duels for the honor of Hiiash Skymount allowing the young lordling to rise above his kin and take control of House Skymount. Wearing a bronze helm in the shape of a lizard’s head and bronze armor fashioned like that of a lizard’s scales over a layer of tough cloth armor, wielding a round shield bearing the image of Ornbar in their left hand and a Macuahuitl with bronze blades in the right.

Kaish Fireriver and Jan Zamoyski circle around each other at the duelist arena of Alybetya, in the lands of Greater Republic of Agade, for a duel to contest who is more right – the Meranians, or the Ornbari!

Numerous spectators watch the duel between the two legendary warriors from their vantage points in the raised seats of the arena. Both of them were very cautious, avoiding any decisive blows trading strikes and parries back and forth until Jan Zamoyski gained the upper hand, striking at Kaish Fireriver’s unprotected side while his foe was lunging forward. Kaish Fireriver managed to block the blow but was pushed back by the force of the hit. A moment later, Jan Zamoyski feinted a follow-up attack, and Kaish Fireriver stepped backwards, attempting to step behind Jan to avoid the incoming blade. But Kaish’s opponent anticipated this move, and having already begun to charge forwards, he was able to strike Kaish Fireriver across the face with his spear leaving a bloody gash and knocking the battle-hardened warrior off balance, as Kaish stumbled into the dust of the arena floor. Jan Zamoyski pounced on him, slamming his scutum against the side of his opponent’s head, knocking off Kaish’s helm.

It was then that Kaish Fireriver showed his true fury. Grabbing hold of Jan’s spear and stabbing it between the plates of his armor Lorica Segmentata, Kaish pierced Jan’s chest and ended the emperor’s life.

The crowd is shocked, many of the Zar-Agadian Duelists rush forward towards the slumped corpse of the Placentian Emperor, all while the Ornbari champion attempted to slink away from the scene the blood of his foe having stained his face, armor, and more importantly the image of the Ornbar God on his shield, he was nearly out of the arena before members of the Republics Sacred Band (currently stationed at the city) stopped him, it may have been a duel but it is still the death of a foreign official and by Republican Laws Justice mush be served.

Aftermath

The Placentian people are shocked to hear of their emperor’s death, and request the swift trial of the Ornbari rule breaker all withing rp, i loved the death scene lmao, as for succession of Emperorship, the Parliament will convey on a matter to vote. Aphrosod the adopted sun of the Emperor is a valid candidate in the Parliament’s eyes.

Peace?

In fact, it seems the many wars and the threat of the Jhadeese have left their mark on many of us.

The Ornbar:

Due to the wretched impurities of the mainland Ornbar shall turn its politics away from this accursed land and will ignore any requests not coming from an Island nation, trades already in place will continue until their expiration or until the agreement is broken by the other party. No wars will be declared save in the case of a nation performing the Ultimate Sin in which case any of true Ornzari faith would be unable to refuse a call to war.

The Moäns:

It is with a heavy heart that Xupa must end the Bulwark treaty with the Möa and the Vraconians. Our differences, while negligible at the start, have proven to be too major to overlook and it is time for our people to forge their own path.

Late iron era

Merania and Riveria become Placentia

Years ago when King Zamoyski adopted Aphrosod and then gave him Riveria when they won the war, only good and happy memories ensured between them, without counting the necessary stressing and awful moments that build our characters into stronger ones.

Not that long ago Aphrosod who is the bastard son of the Sun God, had met with Nef’Sheherezed the Sun God’s Prophet who can foretell the future, a prophecy has been seen by the both of them, and it started with their marriage then it continued with the preparation of the Great Holy War, none of them knew who is going to be the enemy nor where is it going to be fought. All they knew was; it is coming. Aphrosod knowing about this had allowed Nef’Sheherezed to return into Palanteinc to prepare from their side, and he himself rode his horse into Merania to warn the King.

Hearing this news a new matter comes into light and is urgent as saving a man’s life in the battlefield, the King wondered for days and so on, he became exhausted by the idea of a war scaling the whole continent, and how would he protect his nation and his vassal nations, he seemed to lose his mind stress fully thinking of a solution, Aphrosod seeing the King’s health deteriorate, and proven when he attacked Ornbar for an old wound, he then proposes a nostrum to a stressful prophecy, although the prophecy is bound to happen, the proposition made by Aphrosod may help the king’s health and also make us prepared efficiently than before. He proposed the unification of Merania and Riveria as one Empire ruled by one Emperor to the end of Times.

The King knowing this is the most viable option the two nations got if they wanted survival, he then passes this new topic in the Elder’s Parliament.

The Meranian Elder Parliament has studied the Resolution and debated on it’s advantages and downsides, they found that such Resolution is deemed necessary for the survival of the nation and also to strengthen our regional military influence, therefore 80% of Elders present voted favourably while the remaining decided to oppose the resolution saying there is no basis to unify the empire, when we released Riveria as a vassal in the first place and it would entail the beginning of the Meranian decline in the regional political influence.

The Riverians answered:

I’m happy to announce and show my happiness and relief for this Reunion and not union as many of you may see it, and my people have shown their happiness too singing a small line of their new antiphōnos  (anthem)

Holly and Hulu, they’re one of a kind; Wise as loyal only we find

This day shall also be celebrated once per year and it’ll be named “the prophecy day” after both of Aphrosod and Nef’Sheherezed’s prophecies.
And our new lands shall named and therefore known as The Placentian Empire

United they speak:

As a newborn Empire, many things changed within the two realms,

the days of Kings are gone, Long live the Emperor, as of now  for 5 turns the Emperor shall and will be Lord Jan Zamoyski of Merania, and Lord Aphrosod of Vallatoss shall be his Second in Command. The first acts of the Emperor are:

1- The Meranian Elder Parliament shall now be called, The Placentian States Parliament, most laws and wars shall be voted on in here this is how biki and I (and anyone else who joins us in the future) shall do things together

2- a new Court will be established and shall be named, the Placentian Court of Vassals and will hold representatives from all the vassal states

3- Offers the Palanteinc workers jobs after they finish their contract, as the Imperial Palanteinc Guards, to protect the holy men of the Three Gods picture them as the Swiss Guard, no one will dare to touch them, cuz PALANTEINC, @Commonality of Palanteinc|Sevik

4- a drastic change in military uniforms…

5- The new Imperial capital shall be the Fortified Mountain City of Zariya (96)

6- the city of Merania (61) shall be the capital of the Meranian District, the city of Vallatoss (85) shall be the capital of the Riverian District

7- the Empire will go into isolationism for xxx years equivalent of this 1 turn to sort out all the new changes, and to become accustomed to the new atmosphere of the imperial administration

Married to the Emperor

During a trial over the war reparations of the Ornbar to the Meranians – now newly formed Empire of Placentia – the Emperor of Placentia was struck down.

His successor was none other than Nef’Sheherezed’s husband: Aphrosod.

In a sudden turn of events, Nef’Sheherezed finds himself a lot sooner than expected at the as close to the top of the foreign empire as his visions had shown him to be.

We remember Aphrosod (Aphrosod of Vallatoss, Bastard son of the Sun God, Emperor of Placentia, Liberator of Vallatoss, Survivor of the sacking of Eternius, Supreme Commander of the Imperial Legion) saying:

Accepting the position of Emperor was never my ambition but it is a necessity. I can’t help but feel there’s more that needs to be done.

The empire of the east has been growing steadily over the last century. To put things in perspective, our capital city of Zariya is now larger than many cities in the eastern side of the continent, striving in Mount Zar, many jobs are open for the people, and this is only the beginning.

However, we have a problem. the Empire yearns for unification, and taking time to properly vote on who’ll become emperor isn’t something they want to do. The only way to avoid a civil war is to appoint one person as emperor and let them rule until they die or decide to step down. In other words, I must accept becoming emperor for the sake of the Empire.

The issue with that is… I’m not exactly fond of ruling people. I’d much rather just live out my life in peace with Nef’Sheherezed by my side.

Of course, there aren’t any guarantees that will happen. We’ve already seen how much trouble it’s caused when someone else gets the throne bringing the memory of the dictator we had in the first ever civil war, the King of all Kings, the self proclaimed king Shushu Baula. Even if I end up getting the position, I still need to deal with the trial of the Ornbari Duelist Kaish Fireriver of House Skymont with the sigil of a goat, Killer of the late emperor, well at least he died fighting gloriously in a duel not in a back alley somewhere in filth.

I don’t know what the outcome of his trial will be, but I’m sure it won’t be pleasant. All the responsibilities of the Empire will fall upon me, so before I become emperor once and for all, I shall invite the east for my coronation, a feast and a tournament will be held in honor of Emperor Zamoyski the Unifier of the Placentia, and the tournament will determine the next Advisor of war for the Empire, a Noble position full of honor and glory.

Coronatio Incipiat!

Nef’Sheherezed is determined to make the best of this situation, as always, and will try and take care of many internal affairs. His first order of business was to try and initiate the Mio-Irs in Placentia – even if only once or twice a week.

Closer… closer still

Saying goodbye

((celebration to see the last remaining Insirkans/half-Insirkans/people of Insirkan parents off))

Rumor has it that an impromptu celebration was thrown in honor of a branch of of the Fadia clan. While the mood was merry, melancholy was also close by.

The following day, the Talidin family was seen leaving Palanteinc lands.
